I was tasked with converting a long and rather dry report on charter school issues into a more accessible format. The report described all the myriad legal (and less-than-legal) ways that many charter schools, ostensibly required to take all comers, weed out low-performing or high-needs students. CharterLand, a parody of the classic Candy Land game, was born. Several weeks after the initial release we published a Spanish-language version. While it's received the most attention online, local advocacy groups have also blown this up to poster size for presentations, meetings, and press conferences.
